sand, tevas, and the library...9am

so i got up earlier than i had to today, so i could work on my computer illustration project in the library. i was feeling a little sentimental today so i wore my i lovermont shirt, and becuase it's been warm lately, i wore my tevas. a little background on the tevas: i got them for like 20 bucks at dicks sporting goods in PA before i went to camp in vermont. i pretty much wore them every day this summer in and out of lake champlain. i put them to the test..they held up pretty well over time, just a small tear in the sole. the tevas then ventured to lake michigan camping. so needless to say they have gathered lots of sand over time.

back to marion and the library story.

i was sitting in the library drinking milk from my nalgene, working working. about 9:45 i pack up my stuff. it's important to note here i was sitting on my foot. i looked down at the chair i had been sitting on. and on it was a large pile of sand that had leaked out of the hole in my tevas!

...as i type this i am in teter cafe, and i once again sitting on my foot, i just checked, and yes there is sand beneath ME.

good thing im headed back to the shores of champlain to fill them back up.
